Can't wait for the holidays? Us either! This year the Girls of Steel organized an outreach event alongside the Toys for Tots Foundation. On December 16th and 17th, robots will be out at Guardian Storage in the Strip District from 12:00-4:00pm on Friday and 10:00-4:00 on Saturday. The girls of steel will be out for some of the time, but at other times it will be more amazing Pittsburgh FIRST teams!
While kids pick up their presents, they will be able to enjoy watching--and even test driving--robots that are featured at the event. Hoping to make the kids' holiday season more fun and exciting, the Girls of Steel's robot will be demoed and kids will be able to try their own hand at it while informing others about FIRST robotics.

- Mission: to collect new toys that can be distributed as gifts to the locally needy children
- Goal: to provide hope to disadvantaged children that will in turn "assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens"
- Objectives: to help less fortunate children experience the joy of the holiday season; to take a role in developing "one of our nation's most valuable resources--our children"; and to bring together communities under a common purpose with the collection & campaign
