Girls of Steel: Open House!

Have you ever wanted to get involved with robotics, but didn't know how to start? Or have you wanted to find out more about the FIRST Robotics Competition, but never saw a convenient opportunity?

Well, the Girls of Steel are hosting a fun, interactive, and hands-on Open House on September 10th, 2011 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Carnegie Mellon University, Gates Center for Computer Science, room GHC 2109. This event is for girls interested in joining the team, friends, families, other FIRST teams, interested parties, and current and potential sponsors – ANYONE interested in learning more about the Girls of Steel Robotics Team and the FIRST Robotics program.

This event will provide the opportunity to learn about the Girls of Steel Robotics Team experience and FIRST Robotics Program founded by inventor Dean Kamen. The interactive two hour Open House will offer information about what it is like to be a team member and the many benefits of participating. Participants will have the opportunity to see robot demonstrations as well as to visit a variety Team Experience Stations that will detail the many exciting facets of being a part of the team.
